In a game Mumbai Indians need to win, Sachin Tendulkar won the toss and chose to bat on a pitch expected to have some extra bounce. It has been drizzling through the day and though the covers came off two hours before the scheduled start, a shortened game is expected.

Mumbai made no changes to the team that lost to South Australia two days ago, which means the all-round pair of Ryan McLaren and Abhishek Nayar remain on the bench. Guyana decided to rest offspinner Lennox Cush, one of their key players in the Caribbean T20, and brought in an extra medium-pacer, 24-year-old Paul Wintz, who'll be making his Twenty20 debut.

Neither teams can afford defeat: Mumbai are already on the brink of elimination after two reverses, Guyana's net run-rate plummeted after their loss to Royal Challengers Bangalore.

Mumbai Indians 1 Shikhar Dhawan, 2 Sachin Tendulkar (capt), 3 JP Duminy, 4 Ambati Rayudu (wk), 5 Saurabh Tiwary, 6 Kieron Pollard, 7 Dwayne Bravo, 8 Ali Murtaza, 9 Harbhajan Singh, 10 Zaheer Khan, 11 Lasith Malinga.
